Coming up this week! I am joyfully looking forward to one of my paintings being part of the Our Sea to Sky exhibit opening this Wednesday July 20th at The BIAC Gallery in Artisan Square on Bowen Island. This show is one of the first co-hosted by the Sea to Sky Arts Councils Alliance, a collaboration between 5 Sea to Sky Corridor arts councils: Bowen Island, Lions Bay, Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton. It brings together over 40 visual artists in celebration of arts and culture in the region and I am honored to be included among such incredible talent.
My submission to this show is “Bowen Break“. It was inspired by a classic Howe Sound scene: calm waves lapping a pebbly beach on the west side of Bowen Island, with the Pasley Islands and Georgia Straight in the background. It is the largest painting I have done to date: at 30″ x 48” it really needs to be seen in person to be appreciated. Prints will be available soon!

The show runs Wednesday July 20th until Sunday August 14th at The Gallery at Artisan Square. Summer hours: Wed-Sun 10am – 5pm.
Opening reception Saturday July 23rd 3pm – 5pm, see you there!
