I wanted to start off with some exciting news! After much anticipation the 8″x10″ prints of ‘Howe Sound’ and ‘Panther Peak’ have arrived. Printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag fine art paper and hand mounted in an 11″x14″ double mat they make the perfect gift for someone wishing to bring home a little memory of Bowen Island. Matted prints are available for $35 + shipping. The next painting to get digitized is ‘Sunset Solitude’ and I hope to have the 10″ x 10″ prints ready at the end of June.
In other awesome news I have been invited to join a wonderful little arts collective here on the island. The Bowen Island Artisan Collective is a group of super talented crafters, makers, growers and bakers that hold pop -up shops during the summer months. My current project is a 30″ x 48″ untitled piece based on a beautiful photo by my husband Raf. The scene is a daytime view of Tunstall Bay Beach looking west towards Keats, Whorlcombe and Vancouver Island in the distance. The main subject is a crashing wave, which I have played with before, yet this is my first time experimenting with adding a rocky beach in the foreground. So far I love how it is turning out!
